A recent Transport Safety Board investigation reported that the potential for a delay in search and rescue can be linked to not having accurate data registered to your EPIRB.  Take a minute to make sure your registration is up to date, that minute will make all the difference in case of an accident at sea.

EPIRB’s are all supplied with a registration card at the time of purchase.  Whenever there is a change of ownership or vessel modifications, including change of paint colour your EPIRB registration should be updated.  You can do this on-line by going to the National Search and Rescue Secretariat, Canadian Beacon Registry at  www.nss.gc.ca  or you can phone:  1-800-727-9414.
