Our Role |

 Fish Safe's role is to create opportunities to improve safety on board.
This may be accomplished by:
- Providing a central resource for safety information and assistance in understanding the application of safety regulations
- Raising the profile of fishing safety in the west coast
- Promoting education and ownership of safety (safety culture)
- Developing tools and templates for the industry to improve safety on board (Fisherman's toolbox)
- Working with WorkSafeBC to find ways to improve the fishing claims process and reduce the cost of claims to industry
- Coordinating feedback from and representing the fishing industry in regulatory and safety forums
